Based on announcement of HSE experts, heavy snowfall, blizzard and strong winds on Saturday and Sunday can create serious danger for residents, rescuers and workers active in mountain construction projects. Therefore, it is recommended that industrial and mining units located in high areas review emergency response programs and check and prepare protective equipment.
The activity of the rain system in provinces of Khuzestan, Bushehr, Fars, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Lorestan, Ilam, Markazi, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, West and East Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Qazvin and Gilan will be stronger; in these areas, hail fall, thunder and lightning and possibility of landslide are also not far from expectation.
Environmental safety experts reminded that in similar conditions, observing road safety principles, using standard heating equipment, avoiding long stop in snowy routes and quick information to relief and rescue units can prevent significant human and financial losses.
Also, the Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz are predicted to be rough in coming days, and marine activities, especially industrial operations, must be done with caution and prediction of marine HSE risks.
