Industrial Explosion in Shahrekord Leaves Two Workers Seriously Injured

Shahrekord – An industrial explosion at a manufacturing facility located in the Farrokhshahr Industrial Town, Shahrekord County, resulted in serious injuries to two workers while they were on duty.

According to the Workers’ Health and Safety Advocates News Agency, citing an informed labor source, the incident occurred at noon on February 24 (5 Esfand), when an explosion took place at one of the factories operating in the Farrokhshahr Industrial Town in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.

The report states that emergency response and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and provided initial medical assistance. The injured workers, two men aged 38 and 19, sustained severe burn injuries and were transferred to a specialized burn and trauma hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

The labor source noted that the exact cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, adding that official investigations have been launched by relevant authorities, including labor inspectors and occupational health, safety, and environment (HSE) experts, to identify the cause of the incident and assess compliance with workplace safety regulations.

HSE specialists emphasize that strict adherence to safety protocols, continuous monitoring of industrial equipment, comprehensive worker training, and systematic risk assessment procedures play a critical role in preventing similar incidents.
