Further Details on Gas Leakage Incident at an Industrial Plant in Torbat\u2011e Jam \/ One Worker Dies<\/strong><\/h3>

According to the Workers\u2019 Health and Safety News Agency, quoting a labor activist, further details have emerged regarding the incident that led to the death of one worker and the injury of nine others following the leakage of chemical substances at an industrial company in Torbat\u2011e Jam.<\/p>

The incident occurred on February 2, at a potassium chloride production plant located in the Torbat\u2011e Jam Industrial Zone in Razavi Khorasan Province, during the testing phase of a newly installed production line.<\/p>

According to the report, a 500\u2011liter hydrochloric acid tank overflowed, releasing acidic gas into the open workshop area. As a result, several workers suffered chemical poisoning due to inhalation of acidic fumes.<\/p>

22 workers are employed at the potassium chloride plant across two shifts, and the large\u2011scale gas leakage seriously endangered their lives.<\/p>

The labor activist stated that one worker lost his life, eight others were injured, and one injured worker is currently hospitalized in the ICU.<\/p>
